Your MNU Certified Coach

Dr. Sierra Carpenter, PharmD, MN.Nutr

Hey there! Welcome to Prescribed Lifestyle Nutrition, where I help people write their own “prescriptions” for a successful diet and lifestyle. I have loved fitness and nutrition for over 15 years and have experienced many personal ups and downs in my own journey. Through this journey, I realized that each season of life has different priorities and responsibilities…but nourishing the body well has always helped me grow and adapt to life’s changing demands.

I became a Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner specializing in pain management, mental health, and substance abuse to help treat some of the most stigmatized and underserved people. My professional career continues to remind me, no matter what health issues one faces, nutrition plays a huge role in how you feel and ultimately heal.

Nutrition, to me, is more than just the food you put in your body. It’s the "food” you put in your mind, the way you speak to yourself, the way you view food, and the way you handle stress.

Ultimately, my nutrition coaching philosophy is about helping you create a life where food nourishes your body and fuels your best self—mind, body, and spirit. Together, we will craft a plan that works for you so you can feel confident, healthy, and empowered in every aspect of your life. If you’re looking for a coach who will guide you to a more balanced plate and a more balanced life, look no further—I’d love to meet you!

Outside of work, I am an avid weightlifter, snowboarder, hiker, mountain biker, and overall adventurer. I am a proud dog momma to Olive (the Beagle) and Shasta (the Wolf Hybrid). In the evenings, I enjoy winding down with my wonderful partner, Logan, watching movies and cooking.

Nutrition Coaching

Philosophy, Approach, and Sustainability

My approach to nutrition coaching is centered around the belief that each individual is exactly that - a unique person, with their own needs, preferences, and lifestyle. I aim to empower clients by providing a personalized, flexible plan that is both sustainable and effective, integrating not just food choices, but overall wellness and life balance into the equation. Nutrition is not a one-size-fits-all solution, but rather an evolving journey that should align with your goals, values, and life circumstances…not what the latest Internet diet fad may be.

Individualized Approach

Every person’s body responds differently to food, exercise, and lifestyle changes. That’s why I focus on understanding each client’s specific needs—whether it’s managing a health condition, achieving weight loss goals, or simply enhancing energy and performance. I take the time to assess your unique lifestyle, health history, preferences, and challenges to create a plan that fits you. This individualized approach ensures that recommendations are not only realistic but also enjoyable, helping you to develop a lasting, healthy relationship with food.

Incorporating Wellness & Life Balance

Nutrition is not just about what you eat—it’s about how your diet interacts with your overall wellness. I believe health extends beyond the plate and includes mental, emotional, and social well-being. A successful nutrition plan should support your life beyond the kitchen: your fitness goals, sleep quality, stress management, and personal relationships. I help clients see nutrition as part of a holistic lifestyle, not a standalone endeavor. We’ll work together to create a balance that fits your life—whether that’s navigating a busy schedule, learning to cook healthy meals you love, or simply enjoying more time with your loved ones without stress or guilt over food.

Sustainability Over Perfection

I prioritize sustainable, long-term changes over quick fixes or restrictive diets. The ultimate goal is not short-term results, but the development of healthy habits that you can maintain over time. This means I focus on gradual changes, fostering consistency rather than perfection. I aim to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment where you feel empowered to make progress at your own pace—celebrating the small and large victories along the way.

Holistic Support

In our work together, you’ll not only receive expert guidance on what to eat, but also strategies for navigating challenges like emotional eating, stress, and social pressures. I believe that the right nutrition plan should help you thrive in all areas of your life, whether you’re a busy professional, a parent, or someone juggling multiple responsibilities. Through open communication, regular check-ins, and tailored adjustments, I’m here to provide the support and encouragement you need to make your wellness goals a reality.
